Most Recent Gettysburg Trip Photo Blog

I have been on a roll lately and do not want to lose steam while blogging. Sometimes I get so caught up in my blog, I will get totally sidetracked on the computer and that's the end of progress for the day for me. Since I had such a long entry yesterday, I'm going to to my photo blog for my most recent trip to Gettysburg first, rather than at the end of my writing about it. I have more than made up for my dry-spell in July...already my stats are picking up much faster than July's did. I'm really looking forward to blogging this month!

Faith's First Gettysburg Trip Photo Blog: July 2011

Faith gets a history lesson from Sgt. Sweetheart on Little Round Top

Watching the battle of Little Round Top at the location of the battle

One of the thank you notes left at the 20th Maine memorial

Faith got a littler nervous checking out Sachs Bridge after dark.

Fortunately, the most terrifying thing we caught on camera was my face in this photo.

Faith was attracted to the Wheatfield

One of my favorite location's is Devil's Den

We toured the Jenny Wade house for the first time. Legend has it, if a woman places her left ring finger in the bullet hole that killed Wade, she will receive a marriage proposal within a year. Yes, Loveypants was there when I did this.

Faith felt tall, Tall, Dark, and Handsome managed to not clunk his head.

Watching Pickett's Charge at Pickett's Charge before walking it ourselves...

barefoot. We left our socks and sneakers behind. Fortunately, they were there when we got back.

At the Union lines (or halfway through the walk, as we had to turn around and go back).

Faith was sleepy/scared (?) during her obligatory first ghost tour.

We ended our trip in Lancaster visiting General John Reynold's grave. Reynold's was killed on July 1st.
In conclusion, a great time was had by all. Special note to my darling other half, please pick an alias, or the revolting names will continue.
